You may have let similar situations cross your path so many times in the past and simply let them pass. What's holding you back? Is the fear of another asthma attack preventing you from participating in your favorite show or enjoying life to the fullest? By now, you've probably tried a lot of things to better manage your asthma. But have you considered one of the simplest and most promising solutions out there – yoga? This ancient science is able to help reduce the effects of asthma and in some cases cure it completely. What is asthma really, and how does yoga help to cure it? Asthma is when you have your airways narrow in two different ways. You are either producing too much mucus or you pull it down using some smooth muscles. And of course smoking the reason it's bad is because you have particles that you inhale. And emphysema, of course, at the end of that particle, it deflates air sacs wide enough and you cause a disease called emphysema. What are the causes of asthma? Tobacco smoke, Dust Mites, Outdoor Air Pollution, Pets, Toxic food, and climate change are the main causes of Asthma. Does tobacco smoke cause asthma? Why is tobacco smoke so harmful? When a person inhales tobacco smoke, the irritants settle in the moist lining of the airways and can trigger asthma episodes. The lungs of people with asthma who smoke are often in a constant state of poor asthma control. These people regularly have persistent bronchial asthma symptoms. Smokers trying to quit face many challenges, including nicotine withdrawal, cravings, increased stress and negative mood, and concerns about weight gain. These phenomena make it difficult to efficaciously cease smoking. Studies in non-smoking populations show that yoga reduces pressure and terrible mood and improves weight control. By increasing mindfulness, we hypothesize that yoga may also improve smokers' ability to cope with negative withdrawal symptoms. The increase in greenhouse gases leads to an increase in temperature, which causes changes in weather patterns. These changes lead to extreme weather events such as floods, droughts, and hurricanes. The effects of climate change on human health are not limited to extreme weather events. Climate change also affects air quality and can cause respiratory problems such as asthma. The rise in temperature leads to an increase in pollen production which can trigger asthma attacks for people who are sensitive to pollen or have allergies. Do Dust Mites cause asthma? Dust mites are microscopic creatures that live in bedding, carpets, and furniture. They feed on dead skin cells and produce allergens that can trigger asthma attacks. Avoiding Dust mites can we protect us from asthma. The best way to avoid dust mites is to keep your home clean and dry. You can also use a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter or an air purifier to remove allergens from the air. Does Outdoor Air Pollution cause asthma? The World Health Organization (WHO) has classified outdoor air pollution as a leading cause of asthma. Outdoor air pollution is caused by the release of gases and particles from sources such as factories, power plants, vehicles, and fires. The WHO estimates that outdoor air pollution causes more than 3 million deaths each year. Yoga is an exercise that has been around for hundreds of years. It is a form of exercise that helps to release the tension in the body and mind. Yoga also helps to release outdoor air pollution. There are many different types of yoga, but they all have one thing in common - they help to release stress and tension from the body and mind. Yoga can be practiced at home or at a studio, but it is best when practiced with an instructor who can guide you through the poses and breathing techniques. The benefits of yoga are endless, but one of them is that it helps to release outdoor air pollution from your system. When you do yoga, you are breathing deeply which allows your lungs to take in more oxygen than normal. This means that your body will be able to process more toxins than usual which will help you feel better overall! Do Pets cause asthma? Pavanamuktasana (wind-releasing pose) This position is suitable for people with asthma as it massages the abdominal organs and helps with digestion and gas release. Hold each position between 10-20 seconds and repeat three sets. 6. Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose) Setu Bandhasana expands the chest, improves blood circulation, and is extraordinarily endorsed for humans with allergies. Hold in posture between 10-30 seconds and repeat three rounds. 7. Bhujangasana (cobra pose) The bhujanganasana pose expands the chest, improves blood flow in the chest region, and it helps to cure Asthma, highly recommended for those who are suffering from allergies. Masthyasana This reduces stiffness in the muscles around the neck, chest, and lumbar region. It also strengthens the lungs. Good exercise improves the health of asthma patients. Duration Practice every asana for 2 to 5 mins. Take 30 seconds to the 1-minute gap between doing each asana. Pranayama : Pranayama is a natural remedy that cleans the airways, heals damage, improves circulation in the brain and other organs and structures total energy. Improve breathing and provide lasting relief. The duration of each pranayama is 15 minutes Take a gap between each pranayama for 1 to 2 minutes. 1. Basthrika Pranayama In asthma, resistance builds up in the airways, preventing the smooth flow of air in and out. Bhastrika praṇ̄ayāma can improve lung capacity by opening the small lung airways. Another cause of asthma can be stressful. Practicing Bhastrika praṇ̄ayāma can therefore calm the mind and help relieve stress. 2. Kapal Bhati This breathing technique helps to throw out toxins, relaxes the mind, and energizes the nervous system. It also cleanses all Nadis (energy channels) and improves blood circulation. Strengthens the lungs, and removes blocks. 3. Ujjayi Pranayama Ujjayi pranayama can be helpful in case of asthma and Improves lung capacity. Ujjayi pranayama can often be recommended as a combination therapy with conventional asthma treatment. 4. Nadi Shodhan pranayama (alternate nostril breathing technique) Start with this pranayama to calm your mind and relieve your body of accumulated stress. This respiratory technique has a restoration impact on many respiration and circulatory problems. 5. Suryabedi pranayama Adopt left-hand chin mudra and right-hand Vishnu mudra. Close your eyes smoothly, your spine and body should be straight. Close the left nostril and take a long breath in with the right nostril breathing out approximately equal to the inhale with the left nostril. Do this pranayama minimum of 12 cycles. For better results do it for 15 minutes. The right nostril would be associated with the Surya Nadi. So doing this pranayama increases the body's temperature, dries out the lungs, and helps to get rid of asthma. 6. Adopt Asthma mudra (lungs) close your eyes smoothly, your spine and body should be straight while doing pranayama. Do concentrate on breathing long inhales and young exhales, for 15 minutes. 7. Deep Relaxation At the end of practicing all asanas and pranayama take deep relaxation in Shavasana for 10 min. definitely, you will cure of Asthma. You should avoid toxic food or make a diet plan for when to eat You should eat limit or avoid them. peanuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, bread, blue cheese, citrus fruits, jams, wine, beer, ingredients, art dyes, preservatives, cool drinks soy sauce, some seafood, and oiled items. Everyone can have this food with a limit, but when coming to Asthma patients not being recommended. Food and Nutrition for Asthma. There are many foods that can help reduce the risk of asthma. These include: ▪ Fruits and vegetables, which are rich in antioxidants and vitamins that can help protect against asthma attacks. ▪ Drink a glass of warm water when you wake up. ▪ Drink two liters of warm water during the day airways moist. ▪ Protect your surroundings from pollen and mites animal fur and cigarette smoke. ▪ clean your home with a vacuum cleaner, and use an air purifier. ▪ Wear a sweater before going outside when the wind is cold. ▪ Eat foods rich in vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin B6, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Strengthening the lungs and immune system. ▪ Eat Flax Seeds rich in omega-3 and contain magnesium that can help reduce inflammation in the airways. ▪ Eat foods rich in magnesium and vitamin E that can help prevent asthma attacks. Intake of this magnesium and vitamin E would get relax tense nerves, Muscles, and keeps the airways clear. ▪ Eat home-cooked vegetarian food, and avoid eating no vegetarian food and restaurant food. ▪ Avoid all dairy products if they contain excess mucus. ▪ Include in diet green leafy vegetables, whole grain products, dried figs, nuts, sunflowers, and pumpkin seeds. ▪ Have a light dinner, at least two hours before bedtime. ▪ Eating the wrong foods can immediately trigger a seizure. ▪ Do yoga regularly under the guidance of a yoga instructor.
